Had a cool night watching the state of orgin football game last night with THE BOYS last night despite the fact 3 out of 4 of us have no idea what's going on. Admittedly we probably turned up just to blow some steam, drink some beer and eat potato chips.
Turned out to be a pretty good night, one thing about working boys is you stop hanging out on weekday nights so it was a welcomed changed.
The game itself was a mixture of exciting moments and moments when we just tuned off and discussed the Xmen mythology and advantages of long term investments in the stock market.
Now that i think about it we are such geeks, geeks growing up and starting our own little investment portfolios but geeks nonetheless.

Decided to spoil myself by putting down a deposit for my very first bass effects pedal after trying out a sobbat bass drive breaker. It's going to cost quite a bit but when the boost and fuzz were so clean and it was a clinch when I played zero by smashing pumpkins and the sound was like i didn't need a the guitar there... haha
