I'll try and recount this week crazy as it has been, in the last two weeks I've been to 2 weddings and a funeral. Seems like a bad joke to me as I find out on Monday one of my oldest friends from church passed away from a long term illness. The shock of the news made me think of the unfairness of the situation and I forced myself to shut my thoughts and feelings off as I organise things for his funeral. But I find myself breaking down in tears when his mother shared his last moments.
"He raised his arms and shouted Thank You!"
He suffered from dyslexia and had an expected lifespan of 16 years, but God gave him 23 years in the world which he made use of faithfully.
Good bye dear friend
what lesson do I learn from this?
when tears and words just fail me?
when you looked so empty on your bed
I thought it was just a mistake
Or did He mean to take you back with Him
Now you're back with Him
