So here I am after my 2nd day of uni after what seems like forever away from studying. I keep sharing the same impressions with everyone who ask me how my return to tertiary education has been. It feels like the first day of school all over again. Was joking with a friend at work how my worries included "What if the kids don't like me?", "will I have to eat lunch by myself?".
But since the first day there has been interesting reunions and familiar faces spotted on my way to replant myself on campus. An alarming fact was that in my 5th year, some people still didn't know I was studying architecture, come on people, don't the eyebags, caffeine-induced, sleep-depraved psychotic episodes give it away? Maybe I'm just mellowing out...
Some things coming up, 2 weddings of close friends, will be testing seeing as they are smack in the middle of my school term but I'll just have to make do. One of my resolutions for this year was actually not to prioritise my school work ahead of everything else and actually take a stab at living a more balanced life. I suppose giving up a few nights of sleep so I can attend my friends' wedding is as good a start as any...
Back to work I go

death cab for cutie
singalong indie goodness

Hey guys haven't blogged in a while, it's been a quite busy few weeks. My dad came to sydney for a week which was good, chilling with a complete family is always better.
My sister got baptised, which was really encouraging as I thought back to when I got baptised myself. Seems like everyone is growing up somewhat...

Caught 2 bands played on the weekend, both were excellent in different ways. Gyroscope put on one the most energetic yet tight performances I've seen in a rock band in ages. Funnily enough, they got me thinking about how Surreal would sound like if everyone was 15 years (ok 20 years)younger....
Death Cab can really only be described as a treat for fans and newcomers to the genre alike. 1 hour of hits and new material, all with a fair share of sing alongs (my favourite was I'll follow you into the dark). Nothing ground breaking but then again worth every cent.

Am having a busy but productive month, feeling really blessed to have time after work each day to play bass and guitar, draw, read and even write and plan for ministry. As I was walking with Simone from the library on my day off, I realise that as soon as semester starts, I'll probably won't have the time for such leisure.

Liza from Florence Italy, one of the nice staff ladies at David Jones, had her last day today and I decided to treat her and her boyfriend breakfast. Later that day she dropped by with a bottle of wine and wished me luck... all the best to you too!

Looking forward to Gyroscope on the 14th and Death Cab for Cutie on the 15th...warghh.... indie rock overload...
