One of the things I've had to struggle with at uni lately is a course called professional practice which basically deconstructs everything I have learnt in the last 4 years with the lecturer saying:
"To become good at our profession, you have to take the romance out of architecture."
To me, it just sounds a bit off, kind of like to become good at something, you have to take away everything you love about it.

Well, it's been quite an eventful few weeks. Flew to Singapore for a wedding, which sounds lame but was actually a lot of fun.
Really like to give thanks for my satellite family there both my relatives and my friends. I was gone for 5 months but we just picked up where we left off. Good times...
Back home, the work is piling on but still manageable, one thing I'm really enjoying is my photography class. I recently purchased a Holga and to my amusement, my friends all found it fascinating. Amidst the technology of modern cameras, it was almost uplifting ot see the humble film camera gather such attention.
I've just finished and developed my first dozen photos, half of which turned out to be disastrous but here's one that turned out quite well. The angsty, angry looking kids walking towards me are actually my sunday school class.
