The change from autumn to winter always gives me a certain sense of irritability and just plain and unexplainable boredom in everything I do. Looking at my hands as I type this entry, I see tired hands, dried and blistered from washing too many spoons and coffee cups.

But maybe it's just signifying a season of fallow, the difficulty in rising every morning a reminder of the organic side of being human. Whilst the bear in the forest readies itself for hibernation, I jump into the shower desparately trying to wake up for work, well maybe next time I should just continue to dream...

Just came back from xmen3, kind of getting mixed impressions. On the one hand, it genuinely sucked as movie, storyline was sparse and unfocused but I think that has to be taken as an inherent problem with adapting a universe as expansive as Xmen's. I think the main issue with dealing with such a big task is for so many characters to develop in a satisfactory way. Obviously the focus were on Wolverine and the "main Xmen" but the casual treatment of the rest of the characters was something I found distracting considering each one of the major villains and characters do deserve their own movie.

I guess the movie's not really for the fans or newcomers to the genre but awkwardly stuck in between.

But in the end quite entertaining in a offhand kind of way, especially the Juggernaut's cultishly famous quote.
