Mae Suspension

Lately I'm alright, and lately I'm not scared
I figured out that what you do to me feels like i'm floating on air
I don't need to know right now
All I know is I believe
The very thing that got us here
and now I can't leave

Say anything
But say what you mean
Cause I'm caught in suspension

Now, I'm wanting this for sure
And I'll beg for nothing more
I'll plan all day and drive all night
And love what's in store
Can't seem to stop this now
Even if it's not so clear
And I'll take what I can get
If you want me here

Say anything
But say what you mean
When you whisper you want this
Your eyes tell the same
We are gaining speed
I can barely breathe
Cause I'm caught in suspension

It's enough for me to get excited
It's enough for me to feel whoaaaa ah ah ah oh

Say anything
But say what you mean
When you whisper you want this
Your eyes tell the same
Say anything (suspension)
But say what you mean (oh please don't let me down)
I'm caught in suspension
I'm caught in suspension
We are gaining speed (suspension)
I can barely breathe (oh I can feel you now)
I'm caught in suspension
I'm caught in suspension
Say anything (suspension)
Say what you mean (your eyes tell anything)
I'm caught in suspension

I've kind of lost the habit to think and process anything over the last week bascially because having 6 members of your family under one roof is license to drive a person off his edge into some form of insanity.
Had a good day yesterday though with the family and friends, had a great cup of coffee at a cafe called Chantilly's while waiting for my passport application, it was a Irish Cream Roman Latte, methinks ill be back for more, their grilled chicken sandwich was also awesome.
Dropped by a new gardening centre called Eden's Gardens (under duress by her majesty mum and mother's mum of course), but was surprised at how well thought out the place was, was kind of a cross between a sculpture garden centre with lifestyle shops, the cafe served one mean vegetarian pasta, with a ton of olives, tomatoes and some of the best berb tomato sause i've had.
Visited my old youth group to install a new noticeboard made for them and also to have a practice session with the music team for sunday, was quite fun to jam with the kids i use to lead (they all only know japanese anime and blink 182 songs though T_T)

Just came back Star Wars episode 3 and I can honestly say that during the whole film, I was feeling extremely nostalgic about the way movies used to be made. The actual movie was defintely a cut above episode 2 and 3 but still is in a class below the trilogy that spawned a subculture....
Have to say i had a big smile on my face when Darth Vader emerged in his infamous suit, sporting the same chest panel with old school red and green buttons. When compared with the sleek "hi-techieness" of everything else in the movie (the ships, buildings everything), it almost looks like Vader is wearing a retro suit ;)

With my dad's arrival from Singapore next saturday, our home will now house me, mum, dad, sis, my cus vince, my grandma, and my 2 dogs. Now i'm quite happy to have all my family in the same country for the first time in a year but i've come to realise an immediate problem that our small townhouse does not have enough places to sleep. That leaves me in the awkward position of probably having to sleep during the day and spend my nights staring at the night sky as pictured:

but spent today working on some prototypes for Sonic Fest, made a poster/doodle board today, quite fun, hopefully it'll get approved and mass produced.

Watched a debate on tv entitled "Does God have a sense of humour?". Admittedly it was a Melbourne Comedy special but still it was quite interesting and simultaneosly disturbing at how tolerant people were of hearing God and cursing in the same sentence. Maybe I did laugh at some of the gags but I have to wonder at a lot of things they said . Does God have a sense of humour? Is it something humans can fathom and appreciate?
I would hope that God has a sense of humour since all good things originate from Him but lately i've come to realise i've had quite a few guilty chuckles at quite tasteless jokes.

Also been venting my boredom on my desk by painting and doodling on it, seems staring at blank pages in my sketchbook have been straining my brain too much...

also watched Robocop2 on sunday night (yes THAT 80's sci fi classic) while i was riding in a wave of nostalgia and commenting on how good the special effects were for the time, my cousin Vincient, 16 years old, was looking extremely bored. That exact moment made me feel old and out of touch with this generation ....sigh ....

Had quite a strange 2 days.
I woke up on thursday morning around 10:30am, fed the dogs and brought them for a short walk, then came back home feeling a sudden craving for Rumlee burgers (for the non-south east asians out there, a Rumlee burger is basically a Malaysian burger that eats like the perfected version of a pizza cross burger) for breakfast and it wasn't a craving that could be satisfied with a heaping bowl of Honey Crunchy Nuts Cereal, so I decided to rummage for the ingredient but could only find tuna, egg, a questionable bread roll and cheese. I didn't really know the steps but after some imporvisation the results kinda looked the part and tasted different but quite satisfying.

On friday night after visiting my church's youth group, i felt quite restless around 10pm and decided to go for a beer with Jason, after the beer we decided to go for coffee along with Anna at cafe Insomnia, but was turned back because it was closing. Still feeling kind of hungry, we ended up at Anna's place for milk tea and Anna's mum's homecook char siew. We just started talking and catching up on things, talking nonsense really ...but then i asked Anna what was the uni youth group i asked her about before. We then had an hour and a half of sharing, mostly about our experiences as leaders at church and our shortcomings and unfulfilled needs. We then all discovered we had the shared vision of starting a group for uni students that isn't necessary about teaching but just about sharing and encouraging each other, we decided to pen down names we see as starters for the group and set a time for our next meeting. The whole thing was quite surreal to me because it just came out of nowhere but it's also been something i've been thinking on for the last few months. The neat thing about it all is that we probably would not have had the same discussion if we went to cafe Insomnia.... kinda cool how God has perfect timing i guess.

Lately i've been drawing and sketching and just trying to level up on my skills instead of bumming around too much.. on a samurai, Gorillaz thing at the moment.

Had my idea of a perfect sunday last weekend; after going to church in the morning, went down to Manly beach and had a juicy steak on a bed of crispy fries, then went for a stroll in the sunny 20 degrees breeziness along the beach side, went home for a nap then started sketching ideas of Sonic Fest ... guess all good things does come from God .
here's something unrelated came across this site the other day, haven't laughed out loud while alone for a long time
